How do you measure blood sugar?

Measuring blood sugar with the Quicktest blood sugar meter is very simple:

Wash and dry your hands.
Insert the test strip into the meter.
Use the lancet to obtain a drop of blood from your fingertip.
Transfer the drop of blood to the test strip placed in the blood glucose meter.
Wait until the blood is absorbed and the window is completely covered.
The blood glucose meter then starts analyzing the blood sample automatically and you can read the result after only 5 seconds.

What is the included code chip used for?

Because you can test several different markers with the Quicktest X6 meter, the code chip is used to 'tell' the measuring device that it should measure blood glucose specifically. The code chip only needs to be inserted once if you only intend to measure blood glucose. If you also want to measure any of the other markers, such as cholesterol or uric acid, that test's unique code chip must first be used so that the X6 knows you are testing a different parameter. The code chip can be reused.

Here we list the most common error codes that may occur with Multitest X6:

E-b : Battery power is too low - Replace the batteries immediately
E-U : A used test strip has been inserted into the meter - Repeat the measurement with a new test strip
E-2 : The strip/code chip has expired - Make sure the date set on the meter is correct. Check the expiration date on the package. If the problem persists during your blood test, repeat with a new code chip.
E-t : The ambient temperature is above or below the system's operating range - Repeat the test once both the meter and test strip are within the recommended temperature range to obtain accurate results.
E-0/E-A/E-E/E-C : Meter problem - Repeat the test with a new test strip. If the meter still does not work, contact us for help.
E-F : The test strip was removed during the analysis countdown or the blood volume was insufficient - See the instructions and repeat the test with a new strip. If the problem persists, contact us for help.
E-8 : The code chip was not inserted far enough before testing - Check that the code chip has been inserted correctly for proper coding. Make sure the code chip you are using measures the correct blood parameter. If the problem persists, contact us for help.
