General instructional videos

Below you will find general instructional videos for our self-tests. It is important that you choose the right instructional video for the self-test you are about to perform. If your test is not listed below, always refer to the manual that comes with the test. Also note that it is important to massage your finger before pricking.

Here's how to deal with the majority of tests that require blood

Stab your finger

Wash your hands with warm water and dry them thoroughly. Warm your hands a little - this makes it easier to get a good drop of blood. Use the lancet on the side of your fingertip and gently massage from the palm of your hand towards the fingertip until you get a clear drop.

Drop in test

Drop the blood into the test according to the instructions for your particular product. Some tests also use a buffer liquid - in that case, add it after the blood, just as it says in the manual. Try to keep the drops clean and avoid touching the test surface with your finger.

Read the result

Allow the test to develop for the time specified in the instructions and read the result within the specified time window. Compare with the example images in the manual to interpret the lines correctly. Do not wait longer than recommended, as the result may change if read too late.
